I'm looking forward to writing an update next time I visit. This first time was an interesting experience. A family owned establishment the Deli-Works is antiquated and in dire need of a remodel to open it up and make room for ordering, etc. I could understand if there was some particular motif or theme but even the layout of the interior walls are required to be navigated around. I felt like I was in a military chow line and still trying to figure out where I should order. The owner-looking person (perhaps manager) asked if the young boy looking down behind the counter was going to acknowledge me and take my order. The food is good but not overwhelmingly so for a place that claims their sandwich are the "best in the world" (it's on their signage). Burgers, Philly Cheese Steak, Fish sandwiches, the have a variety. The special of the day was Italian beef and though better than most, especially the meat - I was expecting more. The 4" bun (for $9 w/ large drink) carried with it loaded shredded beef but they wrap it in tin foil and the bread gets soggy very quick. Juicy shredded beef is good but not at the expense of picking up a sloppy bun. The potato salad was nothing special and rather bland. It tasted close to an egg salad to me.

I used to love Deli Works. My dad had a business across 287 and we'd go there for lunch frequently during the summer. As a teenager, I would order lunch in for the guys and it was always good. I don't know what's happened in the past couple years, but the sandwiches have gotten sloppy, the portions are tiny, and the staff is actually rude. Maybe they need a break or something, but when I call to order food, just barking out "Hold Please" and putting the phone down is NOT appropriate for a restaurant. "Thank you for calling Deli Works, can you please hold a moment?". Last time I was in, the fries were soggy and my sandwich (the Sooner with grilled onions) had literally 1/2 piece of turkey and a tiny bit of ham. Maybe 1/2 piece of bacon shared between the two halves. It was embarrassing! The rolls are still good, but that's not enough to make up for the lack of actual sandwich filling. They did an ok job updating the dining room from the old orange color scheme, but man, they just need to work on their quality and customer service. I called in just now to ask what kind of soup they have (snowy weather, I want baked potato soup from DW!) and got the "hold please" and then sat there for 3 minutes before hanging up. I'll be ordering from Taste of Philly or Spooners now.

Deli Works is a great little sandwich shop that has been around for years. I am a big fan of their hot sandwiches and their homemade chips. Their bread is also homemade and very tasty! I have never been dissapointed with anything I have gotten here and definitely recommend going and checking them out!

Their sign says world's best sandwich. It should read best sandwich between 6000-6002 South Collage Ave, as long as no one is in our parking lot maming a sandwich.

Great place for an amazing, quite filling sandwich. Many of the menu items have lesser-used but known toppings (like sprouts), and I've never been anything but thrilled with my order. PS - the fries are a HEAP of order. All but the heartiest eaters will be happy splitting an order. My only wish is that they add real iced tea dispenser instead of the crap that comes out of the pop machine or Arizona sugar water in a can.

Just ate a sandwich there today; first time. The sandwich comprised of a freshly baked deli roll, good quality meat and other ingredients. Most impressed. Only wished there would have been more meat evenly distributed. Will return and recommended for lunch.

I have been enjoying their food for years but this last experience left me quite a bit disappointed. Ordering my usual veggie deluxe I bit into a piece of chicken from the other sandwich I ordered from a friend. As a concerned customer I called to tell them this occurred since I am a vegetarian and don't eat meat. The owner debated with me for a few minutes telling me this was not meat but the "rind" of the cheese. Really? I was sorely disappointed by her reaction and inability to admit they perhaps made a mistake. I mean, you could see the fibers of meat from the chicken. Will likely not return in the future, they turned a regular into a disappointed and disgruntled customer by their handling of a situation that could have ended with an apology and continued loyal support.

Simply one of the best restaurants in Ft. Collins! I come every time I'm back in town. Locally owned and operated, everything is made fresh! The bread is fantastic and you must get some cake.

I always seemed to have ignored this place when I drove on 287. Recently though I was hungry and in need of some sustenance. low and behold I came across Deli-Works. They got a real cute little dining room and a nice variety of items on their menu. I ordered a gyro and it was most yummy indeed. Everyone that worked there seemed nice too. Definitely a lunch place... they close in late afternoon so best plan to go there before afternoon sets in. I don't like that road(Deli-Works does not own the road) to get to the restaurant. It is very bumpy so best go slow so you don't tear your car asunder... their parking lot though is just fine. It is nice and smooth for you to park your car.

When I lived on the Southside of Fort Collins, I loved visiting this place. The food and staff service are amazing! The only thing that keeps me from giving this 5 stars is that there are not dinner hours and that the interior decor is a little dated. Now I live across town I am not lucky enough to have the privledge to eat their sandwiches on a regular basis.

Ordered the Reuben since I feel you can gage a deli by this sandwich. Ok, double down on the danger factor by getting a side of fried shrooms, was a little disappointed that they came from a freezer, I was hoping that they made them in house like they do the chips. Oh well... Cozy place with a very comfortable vibe and friendly staff. The sandwich was delicious but a tad sloppy, the price is very reasonable but why only one tiny napkin?? All in all a great lunch.

So I've never actually been inside Deli Works, but my work orders take-out from them A LOT for staff meetings and on those days when no one seems to actually have time to take a lunch break. Their delivery is pretty prompt and they are very nice and understanding when there a half dozen people paying for a single bill. Every sandwich that I have had from them has been delicious! They have a ton of unique offerings or you can custom order a sandwich. Some of my vegetarian co-workers are even know to order "veggie reubens" (a reuben just without the meat)! I also highly recommend getting their homemade spicy potato chips. Only thing is that I wish their location was more convenient (it is on College south of Harmony between Fort Collins and Loveland) so I could go there more often, not just when I am at work.
